Certified Public Accountants
Meet Jean Holliday, CPA
Welcome to our website – take a look around and meet the best team of people anywhere. I have lived in North Carolina most all my life and enjoy the state from the mountains to the coast. At our office you will experience a true partnership with our clients, the true meaning of southern hospitality, and my unmistakable southeastern North Carolina accent. I truly have tried to subdue it but it’s still there and I make no apologies for using it!
I have been in the public practice of accounting for more years than I care to reveal on this website. The journey to my ownership of Holliday PLLC began in December 2015. It has been a rewarding, challenging, fantastic adventure. I am very grateful and thankful to all the people that I have met and spent time with over the years, and I look forward to working with everyone for many more.
I have a home in rural Alamance County, NC where I enjoy spending time on the family farm with my four wonderful grandchildren, grilling out, visiting the farm animals, and riding ATV’s. I have been fortunate to spend part of my time in the beautiful area of Jackson Hole, Wyoming over the last few years. While there I hike the Tetons, snowmobile in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, spend time on the Snake River and cycle on the many road bike trails in the area.
Providing personalized and excellent client service is my passion. My specialty area is client advisory services and business consulting. Please feel free to contact me – I look forward to discussing the things that are of greatest concern to you and finding a solution. NC Certificate number 20180
Meet Jeff Edgington, CPA
I am a CPA with a Master’s Degree in Taxation. My core area of practice is serving business owners using my experience with business entity selection, tax planning, business income and franchise tax reporting, multistate taxation, international reporting compliance, and consulting on accounting and payroll issues. I have further experience with non-profit entities consulting on various subjects, including annual tax filings, and of course the individual tax advising and return preparation that comes with serving owners and officers.
The benefit of working in public accounting is getting to know clients and their stories which motivates me to do the job well while caring for their tax planning and compliance needs. The numbers can be dry, but working alongside clients to help them achieve their financial goals can be very rewarding.
After 30 years growing up in San Diego, my wife and I moved to the RTP area in late 2016 to start the next phase of life. And in Mid-2021 we had our first addition to the family, with a healthy baby boy. We love the variety of weather, safe and friendly neighborhoods, and general optimism of the people we meet.
When not working, I can usually be found playing guitar. I enjoy many genres including blues, fingerstyle, and classical, and love figuring out something new that catches my ear. NC certificate number 41030.
Meet Renee Jones, CPA
My primary focus at Holliday PLLC is individual tax preparation, consulting and planning. This includes working closely with sole proprietors and those owning rental property. My ultimate goal is to alleviate some of the stress and unpredictability that the ever-changing tax laws can create for all of us. The impact of these factors can be even greater for you as a business owner, someone with a high net worth or as a non-US citizen currently residing and working in the US. Being able to provide you some peace of mind is what I like best about my job.
Originally from Texas, I have also lived in Singapore and Switzerland, giving me a unique perspective for those clients living or coming from overseas and dealing with the associated cultural and tax law challenges. After living in Chapel Hill for 10 years, a change in my life took me to Telluride, Colorado. As of January 2020, I have been working with the firm from Telluride. It fits very well with my love of mountains, hiking and nature.
I am a registered CPA in the states of North Carolina and Colorado and have an MBA from Houston Baptist University. I have been working at Holliday PLLC since January of 2016.

Meet Amanda Mullins
With a passion for people, living and working in the quaint, close knit community of Southern Village, I feel so fortunate to have joined Holliday PLLC as the Firm Administrator in 2016. As a bit of an industry hopper, I have approximately 20 years of experience providing administrative, financial, human resources, and logistical support for various international and domestic Department of Defense contracts, Quality Assurance programs in the manufacturing industry, and now the accounting industry.
With a strong sense of fairness and inclusion, I enjoy assisting in creating an environment and structure where the team and organization can flourish and grow. Throughout my professional career, I’ve had to carefully balance being an advocate for employees, clients, and also for the organization. It’s all about the people – the clients, team members, and even the community - getting to know and understand them, ensuring they’re taken care of, remembering those little details, those connections. It’s driven by the compelling desire to make the world a better place. This isn’t done in grand fashion, but by small things everyday – just a byproduct of being ourselves. Perhaps, this is why the HR realm is so appealing.
I have an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Human Resource Management.
I’m a true Wisconsinite at heart and miss the potato pancakes with the Friday night fish fries, snowy winters and cheese curds, but there’s nothing like Carolina. From the Tar Heel athletic events, the close proximity to the mountains and beaches, outdoor movies and music on the Green, and the great locally owned restaurants and shops, my family and I love living here. Chapel Hill is home.
Meet Stephanie Hazel
I have over 20 years Administrative and Customer Service experience in various industries which has allowed me to become a “Jane-of-All-Trades”, so to speak. I have a genuine desire to help people, which is my true passion in life. I have lived in many states: Michigan, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado, but North Carolina feels like my forever home.
